FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

The rental or purchase of addresses is a procurement of personal data, namely an indirect procurement.
In order to comply with the new Data Protection Act, you should provide information about data procurement in your privacy policy and also include a reference to the origin of the addresses in your mailing.

#Questions about address selection
Can I buy private and company addresses?
Our two address stores for private and company addresses run on two different systems. So if you want to buy both private addresses and company addresses, you need to create a login for each. However, you can use the same e-mail address and password for both stores.
How do I select a suitable target group?
You can select private addresses according to language, gender, age, marital status, living situation, purchasing power, education and profession, interests and, of course, geographical characteristics.
Ask yourself the following questions for a suitable private address target group:
- Is your offer suitable for a specific age group?
- Do you want to address families with children or rather singles?
- Do they need a high purchasing power to buy your products?
- Do your services appeal to a specific professional group or more highly educated people?
- In which area do you want to buy addresses? You can select by zip code, municipalities, agglomerations and cantons.
- Do you also want to contact people by telephone?
- What is your budget? If your address potential is too high for your budget, you can also limit the addresses and only buy part of the potential
For company addresses, you can select by language, industry (Noga), market group, company size, turnover, number of employees, legal form, year of foundation, contact person and, of course, geographical characteristics
Ask yourself the following questions for a suitable company address target group:
- In which sector or market group should the company be active?
- Do your services appeal to smaller or larger companies?
- Does the company need to have a specific legal form?
- Would you like to address young or rather long-standing and established companies?
- Which contact persons in the company are important to you?
- Do you also want to contact the companies by telephone?
- What is your budget? If your address potential is too high for your budget, you can also limit the addresses and only buy part of the potential
What types of use are there and how do they differ?
One-time rental: The addresses may be used once for advertising, marketing or market research purposes. The data may not be published in electronic media or passed on to third parties.
Annual license: The address prices quoted entitle you to use the addresses several times for advertising, marketing or market research purposes within 12 months from the date of delivery. After these 12 months, the data must be irrevocably deleted. The deletion of the data must be confirmed to us in writing. The data may not be published in electronic media or passed on to third parties.
Purchase: The addresses may be stored permanently and used for advertising, marketing or market research purposes. Publication of the data in electronic media and disclosure to third parties is not permitted.

Which sources are used to collect the address data?
We obtain the majority of our data from publicly accessible sources (e.g. telephone directories or commercial registers). Our databases are based on the Federal Register of Buildings and Dwellings and Swiss Post's building data. In this way, we ensure that our building addresses are correct and up-to-date and that new street names or changed zip codes, for example, are updated promptly. We also obtain personal, household and company mutations from Swiss Post and other sources. We obtain further information from partners, directly from the persons concerned or we derive it statistically.
